The Indian Railways has introduced an HRMS application for its employees. This application serves as a one-stop platform to provide employees with a wide range of information and amenities. The aim behind introducing this application is to reduce the time and hassle faced by railway employees in accessing various services. Additionally, it aligns with the vision of creating a “Digital India” by transforming the railways into a digital entity.
What is HRMS? HRMS stands for Human Resources Management System. Translated into Hindi, it means “मानव संसाधन प्रबंधन प्रणाली”. It is designed to streamline and organize the processes related to the management and coordination of employees. The application has been developed by the CRIS agency under the Ministry of Railways. With HRMS, railway employees can access services like pass, PTO, service sit, among others, all within this single application.
How to Register on HRMS? Registering on the HRMS application is quite straightforward. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Downloading the App: First, open the Google Play Store on your Android phone. Type “HRMS” in the search bar. The application titled “HRMS Employee mobile App for Indian Railways” will appear, which is currently in beta version. Click on the app to install it as shown in the screenshot (the screenshot was mentioned in the original text).
2. Initial Setup: Once installed, the app will prompt you for HRMS ID and PASSWORD for login. However, before logging in, you need to register. To do that, click on the “Register Now” option on the right side of the login tab.
3. Entering Details: After clicking on “Register Now”, a new window will open asking for your IPASS ID. Here, you need to enter your Employee Id, also known as the PF NO. This can be found on your salary slip. After entering the Employee ID, click on “Proceed”.
4. Verification: Your details such as hrms id, name, mobile no., designation, department, and railway unit will appear on the screen. You will also receive an OTP on the mobile number registered with the railway records. Enter the OTP and click on “REGISTER”.
- Completion: Once registered successfully, you can now log in to the HRMS application. To log in, you need to enter your HRMS ID and password. The default password for everyone is “Test@123”. After entering the ID and password, click on “LOG IN”. Now, you can access your details and apply for passes, PTOs, etc.
Note: Since the default password is “Test@123” for everyone, it is advised not to share your HRMS ID and password with anyone. Also, consider changing your password to ensure your privacy is protected.
